Kigali city council has warned that noisy churches will be shut down
Mayor of Kigali City, Fidele Ndayisaba said, "Churches whose followers make noise during prayers will be punished by closure”.
Ndayisaba noted November 20,while responding to querries on noisy churches at a press conference.
He said there are many churches that during prayer sessions use exaggerated sounds which affects people living near them.
According to the Mayor, City authorities have already identified sixty churches that might soon be closed.
Superintendent Theos Badege noted that churches must comply with the prevailing laws that govern them in everything they do.
