Ambassador William Nkurunziza has presented to her Excellency Gulshara Abdykalikova, the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan credentials to represent Rwanda in Kazakhstan.
In May 2016 Ambassador William Nkurunziza also presented credentials to the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He had been assigned to the position in November 2015 along with other duties of representing Rwanda in Kazarkhstan and Lebanon.
Ambassador Nkurunziza becomes first Rwanda’s envoy to Kazakhstan Republic.
Ambassador Nkurunziza presented credentials yesterday along with nine ambassadors representing their countries. These include Ian Alexander Hill from New Zealand; Ramón Díaz Pereira from Paraguay; Antoine Somda from Burkina Faso; Nadir Yousif Babiker from Sudan; Dumitru Braghis from Moldova; Berglind Ásgeirsdóttir from Iceland; Jean-Klod Knebeler from Luxembourg and Ambassador Igor Jovovic from Montenegro.
During the ceremony, Gulshara Abdykalikova said that the ceremony is held as the country is celebrating 25th anniversary of independence and unveiled hope to promote cooperation in collaboration with the new ambassadors.
New envoys reciprocally premised expanding cooperation in various sectors.
Ambassador Williams Nkurunziza worked as CEO of RIEPA, an institution that was in charge of promoting investment and exports that was replaced by Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
He served as Rwanda’s ambassador to India, to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from where his duties shifted to England in 2013.
