The minister of infrastructure, Albert Nsengiyumva, has called on banking institutions to decentralize banking infrastructure and services adding that this would ease the economic activities of the business community and traders operating small and medium business.
The minister made the remarks while visiting Byangabo Trading Centre in Musanze District of the Northern Part of Rwanda where a modern market is currently being constructed.
Minister said that helping local Citizens to easily access banking services will boost their economic performance.
The new market is being constructed on two hectares of land and contains at least 60 shops, granaries, an abattoir, and storage facilities.
However, banking facilities remain a problem among traders.
