A Belgian Soldier also a member of the Belgian Embassy in Rwanda has reportedly been given only 48 hours to leave the territory of Rwanda with immidiate effect.

Efforts to reach the Embassy were futile as non of the officials would answer our calls.

Attempts to reach Rwanda’s Foreign Ministry were fruitless by press time.

The diplomats expulsion from Rwanda has been due to engaging in "activities incompatible with his function".

The said diplomat has been in service for two and a half years in Rwanda in charge of safety of facilities and the protection of Belgian nationals.

The defense section in the embassy, composed of three persons, is currently headed by Colonel William Breuer.

The current ambassador is Marc Pecsteen.
