In a statement issued January 21, 2017, BRALIRWA Ltd says retail prices for some beers have been revised upwards in order to catchup with increased operation costs.
The leading Rwandan brewery stresses that to cover the increased inputs and business cost the ex-factory increase was inevitable for the beer company. Bralirwa has increased retail prices for the first time since 2011.
The new recommended retail prices are as follows: Primus 33cl costs Rwf 400, Primus 50cl: Rwf 600, Primus 72cl: Rwf 800, Turbo King 33cl: Rwf 500, Turbo King 50cl: Rwf 700, Legend 30cl:Rfw 600 while Amstel 33cl costs Rwf 700.
According to this announcement Mutzig, Mutzig-Lite, Huza and Heineken as well as Coca-Cola brand will maintain their current prices and have not been affected by the price revision.
