Youth side Isonga FC which recently got elevated to the top football division has surprisingly placed all its players for sale on the transfer market.
GregoireMuramira the Isonga fc president has told IGIHE that the club is ready to release any player who is interested in joining any football club of his choice. They are prepared to hand him a chance to remain if they wish as they continue to search for new signings.
“If any club is interested in signing the player, we are ready to release him; you very well know that we released a goal keeper to join Kiyovu Sports in the middle of the last season. But because he got an opportunity we had to release him.”
“ To us when other clubs are interested in some of our players we have no problem with that as long as they meet what is required, if your to remember the main objective of establishing Isonga FC was to detect, scout and nurture young talent at the grassroots level and then promote them to the top flight clubs.”
When asked about the club chances now that it will be featuring in the top flight division in the 2017/2018 league season, the veteran football administrator replied that it is not the first time but it is the third.
“Our goal is not to win the league title or battle with the top-flight clubs but to nurture youth talent, and promote them to the elite level. We have achieved that, and the results can show. We recruited player aged between 15 to 16 years,” Muramira said.
A number of players have passed through the Isonga FC youth rankings, and today they feature in some of the top clubs, and for the national team Amavubi.
These include: Emery Bayisenge; Michel Rusheshangoga; SalomNirisarike; Marcel Nzarora, Olivier Kwizera and those in the national team are: SavioNshuti, DjabelManishimwe, Mustapha Nsengiyumva who assisted Rayon Sports to lift the league title.
