Kamonyi district has topped other districts in youth’s performance contracts for
2015/2016 with 80.2% while Rulindo became the last with 62.4 %.
This has been revealed today during the presentation of results of youth’s performance contracts for 2015/2016 in three sectors including economic development, social welfare and governance.
Kamonyi was followed by Ngororero with 79.8% and Gasabo with 79.3%.
2015/2016 youth’s performance contract were implemented at 70.1% in general.
The chairman of National Civic Education, Boniface Rucagu has said that Rwanda is proud of its youth motivated in realizing the country’s development.
“The youth fought for liberating Rwanda. We are proud of having committed youth,” he said.
Rucagu asked other districts to increase efforts to score better results in next year’s youth’s contract performance.
Fred Mufuluke, the director general Territorial Administration and Good Governance Directorate in the Ministry of Local Government has said that the youth that failed to implement performance contracts lacked cooperation.
Kamonyi emerged the last district in youth’s performance contracts last year with 54.08% while Rulindo was the 20th with 71.86%.
