Rwanda Muslim Community (RMC) in collaboration with Tigo Rwanda has donated phones worth Rwf 700,000 to 70 leaders of Mosques (Imam) in Kigali city that will help them to report crime on time.
The phones of ‘FERO’ trade mark were handed over on Saturday.
The Executive Secretary of RMC, Sheikh Shimiyimana Saleh told IGIHE that the donated phones will help fight against extremism leading to terrorism which has been realized among some Muslims in Rwanda.

The phones of ‘FERO’ trade mark were handed over on Saturday.

The Executive Secretary of RMC, Sheikh Shimiyimana Saleh told IGIHE that the donated phones will help fight against extremism leading to terrorism which has been realized among some Muslims in Rwanda.

“These phones will help to counter extremism related to terrorism since these Imams will report crimes on time, unlike in the past where they had communications problems,” he said.

He urged the Imams to make a good use of the phones adding the donations will be extended countrywide.

Each of donated phone is valued at Rwf 10,000.
