The government and the entire population of Rwanda have welcomed Hotel Marriot which has officially launched in Kigali Rwanda with a promise to keep providing an enabling environment for investors.
Marriot Hotel which was launched yesterday is owned by Marriot International with branches across different parts of the World.
Prime Minister, Anastase Murekezi who presided over the launch of Marriot Hotel in Rwanda lauded the management of Marriot International for choosing Rwanda as the first Sub Saharan country in which the Hotel operates.
Murekezi said that Marriot International made a good choice in selecting Rwanda. “Marriot Hotel made a good choice preferring to operate in Rwanda. We expect more developments ahead,” he said.
He requested Marriot Hotel to train and provide job opportunities to Rwandans and value made in Rwanda products since it facilitate the development of small and medium scale entrepreneurs.
The CEO of Marriot International , Arne Sorenson has said that Rwanda is the best country favorable for investments which attracted them.
“ Rwanda is a country with a transforming economy. We are proud to be part of that development,” he said.
The CEO of Rwanda Development Board, Francis Gatare said that Marriot Hotel has added to Rwanda’s accommodation and therefore support the growth of Meetings, Incentives, Confrences and Exhibitions (MICE). Kigali Marriot Hotel is a five star hotel with 254 guest rooms including a presidential suite.
