Relatives of Kigeli V Ndahindurwa, Rwanda’s last monarch, living in Rwanda and the United States have not yet agreed on where the body of the late will be laid nor where the funeral ceremonies should be arranged from as some propose his burial to be held in Rwanda while others want him buried in the USA.
His relatives living in Rwanda have said that the deceased King Kigeli V should be buried in Rwanda other than in a foreign country where he died. On the other hand, relatives in America where he lived since 1992 when he fled there want the King to be buried in America.

family held a meeting in Kigali on 19th October, 2016 following the latter’s demise and agreed that funeral be held in Rwanda,” reads the statement in part.
