“Na Yombi” Campaign Intensified
Published on 16-01-2013 - at 02:09' by Dusabemungu Ange De La Victoire

The “Na Yombi” communication campaign team from Rwanda Development Board joined Muhanga business community to sensitize them about customer services and service delivery.

RDB is targeting the improvement of quality of services provided in the country.

’Na Yombi’ campaign motto means to receive well and serve customers with warmth, courtesy, respect and total attention.

Alphonsine Iradukunda, one of the Interns in RDB especially within the department of customer care said Rwandans should have the culture of delivering good services.

“Mwaramutse”, “Murakoze”, “Murakaza neza” all of those are not difficult words to tell a customer, why we don’t use them to show that we care more for clients.”

Iradukunda believed that if Rwandans change their mindset towards good customer relations, it will lead to sustainable development of the whole country.

However, on the side of citizens, some institutions prefer to give good services to foreigners than they care for Rwandans.

“An example here is when we are lining to Banks, some time you find when a foreigner comes, immediately an agent of the bank comes and takes him to another side to solve his problem quickly. But for Rwandans you have to wait” a resident of Nyamabuye sector said.

Leonard Mugisha is a Ugandan National. He says that Rwandans are good because they are not corrupted.

“When you visit their offices they work up on your problems very fast and help you. Any way what I am observing with my eyes it’s okay” said Mugisha.
