The executive secretary of Musheri sector in Nyagatare district of Eastern Province, Kamugisha Charles has resigned on account of his poor performance.

He is reported to have resigned on Sunday 11th September 2016.

The resignation has been confirmed by the mayor of Nyagatare district, Mupenzi George, who told IGIHE that Kamugisha Charles abdicated over poor performance at work.

“It is true that he resigned over bad performance and misconduct,” he said.

He added that leaders should be exemplary other than demonstrating misconduct or poor performance before the people they serve.

IGIHE has learnt that the executive secretary was asked to resign by the mayor of Nyagatare district but Kamugisha denied the claim saying he left office because of personal reasons adding that he committed no offenses or misconduct.

Kamugisha said that he sent the resignation letter to Nyagatare district officials on Sunday and is awaiting their response.
