President Paul Kagame and first lady Jeannette Kagame have received diplomats representing their countries and international organizations to Rwanda some of whom are based in Rwanda or have headquarters in neighboring countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo has described the meet as a good opportunity of conferring, review the past year and forge for the best inter-state relations.
“We had a very good year in diplomacy in Rwanda. We had various activities between January 2016 until now. We received 28 letters from ambassadors and other countries’ envoys requesting acceptance to represent their countries to Rwanda,” she said.
Uganda’s ambassador to Rwanda, Amb. Richard Kabonero who spoke on behalf of other envoys has said that Rwanda continues to take giant strides in various developments with achievements being an open book.
