President Paul Kagame has received members of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), who presented to him new projects in which they expect to invest in Rwanda including electricity project that will support connection of 70% households by 2018.
The president assured the delegation that Rwanda is on a steady path of growth and will unwaveringly keep the momentum. "Rwanda is no longer surviving. We have survived. We are moving forward and making things work for our people. Rwanda represents the worst but also the best of what humanity is capable of. The same people responsible for our tragedy are the same responsible for creating hope for a nation that was destroyed," the president assured.
Members of YPO who have been in the country for one week held talks with heads of various sectors as they explored investment opportunities.
The CEO of Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Francis Gatare has told the media that those members of YPO had talks with president Kagame on various topics including Rwanda’s history, resilience process among others, after which they presented their prospective projects to the president including electricity, ICT, promoting artistes and online library.
The YPO delegation comprises of 17members from various parts of the World; United States, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Israel, Scotland Hong Kong and Rwanda.
