RDF Command and Staff College organizes second Students’ Cultural Day

On 14 January 2017, the RDF Command and Staff College of Musanze organised for the second time the cultural day for Senior Officers from 10 African Countries attending the Senior Command and Staff Course 05.

Student Officers proudly showcased their national culture identity, through songs, traditional dance, dressing, traditional food and drinks.Displayed stands during the colourful event reflected countries represented in the ongoing CSC, namely; Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal,Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

Speaking on behalf of the RDFCSC fraternity, the Chief Instructor of the College, Col Justus Majyambere highlighted that the Students’ Cultural Day Gala, hosted for the second time, aims at fostering inter-cultural dynamics within the Students represented at the Senior Command and Staff Course. “The objective of this cultural day is to raise level of awareness, understanding, consciousness and tolerance of other cultures through appreciating each distinctive culture represented at the RDF Command and Staff College”, Col Majyambere said.

Student officers from represented countries highly appreciated the event.

The Cultural Day for RDF Command and Staff College Students was organised for the first time in 2016. According to the College leadership, since then the Event has become part of the College’s curriculum.
