Ruhamya replaces Dr Mukankomeje as REMA boss

Engineer Colette Ruhamya who has been the deputy director general of Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) has been promoted, becoming the Director General, replacing Dr Rose Mukankomeje who is being pursued in courts of law for alleged leaking of work secrets damaging evidence and abuse of office.

The appointment is one of the cabinet resolutions passed yesterday at Village Urugwiro chaired by President Paul Kagame.

Colette Ruhamya has been REMA deputy director general since 27th June 2012 before which she was the state minister in charge of water and energy in the Ministry of Infrastructure.
