Ngoga Joseph, the executive secretary of Murehe cell, Muyumbu sector of Rwamagana district has gone missing leaving residents stranded for lack of access to services offered by his office.

It is said that Ngoga Joseph decided to leave the office after hearing accusations of poor performance. This affected residents who lament to have spent six months without executive secretary and lacking some services.

They explain that the departure of the cell executive secretary followed another gap left by the absence of the in charge of social welfare for five years.

“We experienced problems in our cell as we were classified in Ubudehe categories differently from provided information. We missed the executive secretary to advise us on what to do. We feel isolated as we also have some problems which would be solved by the cell executive secretary before heading for the sector’s administration, “said one resident of Murehe sector, Rukundo Emmanuel.

“I adopted a child from the street. The cell executive secretary who went missing had promised me support but I am in confusion as he left without assistance. They delegated a visiting cell executive secretary but he cares little about us as he concentrates in the cell where he has been operating before,” said Uwamahoro Brigitte, another resident.

The officer in charge of social welfare in Muyumbu sector, Kubwimana Claude confirms that the executive secretary of Murehe cell absconded.

“Residents are exaggerating the time the executive secretary left the office. He left two months ago. We didn’t know the circumstances of his departure and where he fled to but he was accused of poor performance,” he said.

He explains that they assigned the executive secretary of Ntebe cell to assist Murehe residents.
