Fire broke out near the central market in Bujumbura, Burundi on Sunday morning.
It is not yet possible to say whether this incident is accidental or criminal origin.
Sources on the Ground said Rwandan Helicopters immediately intervened to extinguish the fire that has destroyed valuable merchandise.
Burundian Army and Police were also on site.
Burundian fire brigade were at the scene, but were overpowered by the fire.
The thick black smoke hovering over the area and explosions made it difficult to organize relief.
It is unclear, for now, if there are victims.
