Rwandans in the Netherlands, celebrated and congratulated President Paul Kagame upon his successful bid for the presidential seat.
National Election Commission released the results showing President had won with a 98.63 per cent landslide over Democratic Green Party Candidate Dr. Frank Habineza and independent candidate Phillippe Mpayimana who got 0.47 and 0.73 per cent respectively.

Rwandan Ambassador to Holland, Jean Pierre Karabaranga has told IGIHE, that over 400 Rwandan residents in Holland including students cast their vote and it was the first time Rwandan voters there attended in huge numbers.
