The United States Secretary of State , John Kerry has lauded President Paul Kagame and Rwandans in general for hosting the meeting for the amendment of Montreal Protocol that opened 10th October and ends today.
John Kerry arrived in Rwanda on Wednesday evening to attend Montreal Protocol; that brought together delegates from 107 countries.
“Thanked @PaulKagame & Rwandan people for hosting #MOP28. We have an important opportunity in #Kigali to better the future of our planet,” he said in a tweet.
The meeting has been closed today with a consensus Kigali Amendment to Phase Down ‘hydrofluorocarbon (HFCs)’.
The Minister of Environment in Morocco, El Haite has said that the amendments will bring transformations in world population livelihoods and sustainable development.
