The Governor of Northern Province, Bosenibamwe Aimé has advised Rwandans in the province to embrace the use of internet in improving their businesses, services and livelihoods.
The governor gave the advice yesterday in Muhoza sector of Musanze district during an event organized by KT Rwanda Corporation, providers of 4G LTE 4th Generation Long Term Evolution internet services, to mobilize residents on using internet.
“The nation’s economy is becoming ICT-based. People assuming that the technology is expensive are in darkness, spending much more than 4G internet,” he said.
Bosenibamwe requested local leaders to provide exemplary services using the internet to fast-track development.
Antoine Sebera, the Customer Relations and Human Resources Manager of KT Rwanda Corporation said that more mobilization will be carried out so that people maximize benefits of 4G internet.
“Only few people use 4G LTE despite its availability in many regions. We are going to conduct more campaigns to increase better awareness about the opportunities in ICT-based business operations,” he said.
4G LTE internet is provided in 28 districts of Rwanda.
