Kanyankore Gilbert Yaoundé and Eric Nshimiyimana who were assigned duties of coaching the national football team ‘Amavubi’ 4 days ago during the transitional period are now suspended.
The suspended coaches had identified players to participate in the Rwanda vs Ghana match in group H for the qualification of African Cup of Nations that will be held in Gabon in 2017.
Talking to IGIHE, Kanyankore who coached APR FC said was informed this morning that they are no longer coaches of Amavubi with no further explanations about the suspension.
“It is true that we have been sacked. We have been informed of it in the morning but we actually don’t know the reason. The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Sports and Culture has informed us that we are suspended from duties but didn’t provide explanations. I have been suspended with Eric Nshimiyimana. We are not the last people to be suspended. Others people’s suspension may follow,” he said.
