Police Handball club has maintained the league lead after thrashing Ecole Secondaire Urumuli in yesterday game, with a 57-12 landslide victory to remain on top of the table with 14 clean wins.
The Sunday game played in Gicumbi ensured that Police remains on top of the table with the club’s assistant head coach, sergeant Alphonse Rudahemuka saying his team it’s too energetic to win the remaining four games and claim the league title.
The reigning champions had its players Haruna Bizimana with 11 goals on the Sunday game followed by the team captain Gilbert Mutuyimana winning 10 goals.
“For the remaining four games, we are well prepared and players are focused to winning each and every game,” said Sgt Rudahemuka.
The club runs on an ambitious goal of winning the league unbeaten and retains its last year’s achievements.
On the league table, Police Handball club which has won all the 14 games and has 42/42 points is followed by APR Handball club that was due to play later yesterday.
