Rwanda National Police (RNP) has appointed Innocent Seninga as the new head coach of Police Football Club.
Police FC spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Jean de Dieu Mayira confirmed that Seninga signed the contact Thursday to lead the club next season.
“We can confirm that Innocent Seninga, today Thursday signed a one year-renewable contract as the head coach of Police Football Club in the 2016/2017 season,” CIP Mayira said.
Seninga brings immense coaching experience.
He has previously coached Isonga FC, Sports Club Kiyovu and is the current head coach of Etincelles FC, which he has helped to get out of the relegation zone to move up five places to the current tenth position with 32 points.
Seninga thanked Rwanda National Police leadership for trusting him with the job.
“Rwanda National Police has a good system which I believe in of promoting Rwandan players and I have been part during my time at Isonga and some of these players are part of the Police FC currently,” Seninga said.
“Police is an institution that has focus for its football team, hungry to win and develop sports in Rwanda. Me and my technical team will strive to work towards that the mother institution has pledged to support us and I appeal to fans to support us as well in this journey,” he added.
