Amavubi in Kinshasa for friendly match

The Rwanda national football team ‘Amavubi’ have arrived in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, where they are scheduled to have a friendly game with the DRC team in preparation of the CHAN2020 last selection that will take place in Cameroun, where this team will meet with Ethiopia.

The friendly game where the DRC team will receive Rwanda is scheduled this Friday in the Martyrs of Pentecost Stadium.

The Rwandan team’s flight landed in the international airport of N’djili(Kinshasa) on Tuesday at 02:45 am in DRC time.

The national team trainer, Vincent Mashami said that all players are in good shape and ready for this challenging game.

“All our team is in good shape, they have gone to rest so they will be ready for the training we have scheduled in the evening. The DRC team is a strong team, therefore the game will be challenging, but we are ready for it.” He said

After this game, the National football team will be heading to Ethiopia for the CHAN2020 last selection games, which is scheduled on 22th, September 2019; while the home game is scheduled to take place in Kigali on 19th, October 2019.

The list of 23 players that Amavubi team traveled within DRC:

Goalkeepers: Ndayishimiye Eric Bakame (AS Kigali), Kimenyi Yves (Rayon Sports), and Rwabugiri Umar (APR FC).

Defenders: Omborenga Fitina (APR FC), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR FC), Rutanga Eric (Rayon Sports), Iradukunda Eric (Rayon Sports), Manzi Thierry (APR FC), Mutsinzi Ange (APR FC), Nsabimana Aimable (Police FC) and Bishira Latif (AS Kigali).

Midfielders: Niyonzima Haruna (AS Kigali), Iranzi Jean Claude (Rayon Sports), Butera Andrew (APR FC), Niyonzima Olivier Sefu (APR FC), Nsabimana Eric Zidane (AS Kigali), and Nshimiyimana Amran (Rayon Sports).

Forwards: Sugira Ernest (APR FC), Manishimwe Djabel (APR FC), Mico Justin (Police FC), Ishimwe Kevin (APR FC), Danny Usengimana (APR FC), and Bizimana Yannick (Rayon Sports).
