Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has arrested a man for allegedly cutting tails and heels of neighbor’s cows in the Mushubati sector of Rutsiro district.

He is said to have committed the offense on Sunday 25th August 2019.

RIB has revealed that the suspect was arrested yesterday in collaboration with residents who provided information. He is detained at Gihango police station.

Speaking to IGIHE, the Executive Secretary of the Mushubati sector, Christophe Mudahemuka has attributed the offense to a drunken stupor.

“The neighbors shared a drink with him before he stabbed the cows. The suspect lost his phone which he suspected might have been stolen by his neighbor and went for revenge by stabbing his cows,” he said.
