He has revealed this today in a press conference.

“They have been claiming to attack Rwanda. When they wanted to threaten Rwandans, they said they conquered Nyungwe to keep tourists out. They announced it through people staying in those countries like Rusesabagina being in Belgium, Ntilikina in France, Kayumba in South Africa and Himbara in Canada,” he said.

He noted that Rwanda will not tolerate security threats and that Sankara was returned with the cooperation of other concerned parties.

“Sankara has been claiming to be behind attacks during which Rwandans were killed and to have conquered Nyungwe Forest National park. He claimed on radios that what he did is not enough. We told them that it won’t be possible and that Rwanda won’t tolerate it. That is why in collaboration with others, Maj. Sankara was returned to Rwanda and will be taken to court. Others intending to destabilize Rwanda’s security will be held accountable,” said Dr. Sezibera.

Rwanda Investigation Bureau has confirmed to be having Nsabimana Callixte Sankara in custody as investigations get underway.
