She presented the copies to Adrián Martín Couce, Director-General for Protocol at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.

The ceremony held on Friday, precedes the formal presentation of her Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI of Spain, which is expected to take place in the coming days.

Ambassador Nkulikiyinka was appointed to the position on 10th June 2026.

This marks the first time in Rwanda’s history that the country has established an embassy in the Kingdom of Spain, further strengthening the strong bilateral relations between Rwanda and this European country.
