26 Rwandans repatriated from Mozambique

The Government of Rwanda has received 26 Rwandans comprised of 14 families repatriated from Mozambique.

The repatriates arrived in Kigali in the night of Wednesday 28th December 2022. They had fled to the Southern Africa country at different times where some of them left Rwanda during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Upon arrival, the Rwandans were received by the Ministry of Emergency Management (MINEMA).

As they landed in Kigali, the repatriates expressed delight for being able to return to their motherland and pledged to join the rest of Rwandans to build the nation.

Repatriated Rwandans had left the country at different times.
Some of the repatriates had fled the country during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
