COVID-19: Eight more deaths, 485 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that eight people succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday bringing the total number to 1105. The deceased include six men and two women.

The statement released last night also shows that 485 people have caught the virus out of 11 604 sample tests, 16 recovered while 35 are critically ill.

A total of 782,834 people have been fully vaccinated while 1,592,405 received the first dose of COVID-19 since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
