COVID-19: Rwanda records 14 more deaths, 969 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that 14 people have succumbed to COVID-19 bringing the death toll to 771. The deceased include four women and ten men.

The statement released last night shows that 969 people have caught the virus out of 10615 sample tests, 15 recovered while 70 are critically ill.

A total of 432,003 have been vaccinated since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
