COVID-19: Rwanda records 34 new cases and 19 recoveries

The Ministry of Health has said 34 people from 4613 sample tests tested positive for COVD-19 in the past 24 hours while 19 recoveries were discharged from the hospital.

Among the new patients diagnosed with COVID-19 caused by the new Coronavirus virus on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 21 from Kigali, 6 from Rusizi, 4 in Nyamasheke, 2 in Kirehe, while 1 in Ngoma.

The total number of people who have been infected with Coronavirus since the first patient was diagnosed in Rwanda on March 14, 2020, has risen to 1689, including 867 who have recovered while 817 still sick, and five deaths.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty breathing. It is transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, Rwandans are required to continue to pay attention and comply with government regulations, especially with frequent washing of hands with water and soap and wearing masks when a person leaves home or in public.
