COVID-19: Six more deaths, 474 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that six people succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday bringing the death toll to 1153. The deceased include three men and three women.

The statement released last night shows that 474 people have caught the virus out of 12 128 sample tests while six recovered.

A total of 924, 233 people have been fully vaccinated while 1,668,325 received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
