Trainees included the administration staff, researchers, technicians, cooks, security guards and cleaners, among others.

They were given an insight on the causes, classes and components of fire.

Fire prevention measures and fire protection at the campus and in their homes, was also part of the training.

Practical sessions also focused on how to fight fire using different types of fire extinguishers and fire blanket.

This is part of the ongoing fire safety awareness across the country to prevent fire emergencies largely caused by human behaviors.
