It is said that the two men aged 28 and 29 respectively woke up in the wee hours and went to steal Cassiterite in one of mine sites in Rulindo.
The executive secretary of Mahaza cell, Kayigana Jean Baptiste has told IGIHE that the mine collapsed as the deceased were stealing Cassiterite from closed mine sites.
“These men died in mine collapse around 3am as they stole Cassiterite in Rutongo. These mines have been closed for quite some time,” he said.
