Rwanda has already taken delivery of the initial shipment of six ’BioTainers,’ which will be utilized to construct a facility dedicated to producing mRNA-based vaccines for Covid-19, Malaria, and tuberculosis.
This manufacturing facility will be situated within the Kigali Special Economic Zone, in the Masoro area of Gasabo District.
Rwanda was one of the first African nations chosen to host such a facility, and it is anticipated that this initiative will significantly bolster vaccine production on the African continent.
