Ruhango: Two-year old child drowns in pond

A two-year old child identified as Liliane Uwineza from Ruhango Sector in Ruhango District has been found dead in a pond.

The child had gone missing on Wednesday 16th November 2022. Her body was found on Thursday 17th November 2022 in a pond.

It is suspected that Uwineza might have been killed and dumped in the pond.

The Executive Secretary of Ruhango Sector, Jean Bosco Nemeyimana has said that investigation is underway to establish the cause of her death.

He sent condolences to the bereaved family and disclosed that Uwineza’s body was taken to Kacyiru Hospital for postmortem.
