Rwanda records four more COVID-19 deaths, 98 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that four people succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday bringing the death toll to 1308. The deceased include three women and one man.

The statement released last night also shows that 98 people have caught the virus out of 13088 sample tests while the positivity rate stands at 0.7%.

Among others, 11 people have been admitted to COVID-19 treatment centers, three are critically ill while others are attended to through home based care.

A total of 1,695,981 people have been fully vaccinated while 2,192,888 received the first dose of COVID-19 since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
