Rwanda records one more COVID-19 death, 187 recoveries

The Ministry of Health has reported that one person has succumbed to COVID-19 bringing the death toll to 338.

The deceased is a woman aged 54 from Kigali.

The statement released last night shows that 70 people have caught the virus while 187 recovered.

The majority of new cases were found in Gicumbi: 22, Karongi: 13, Nyamagabe: 8 and Nyaruguru: 7.

Rwanda confirmed the first COVID-19 case on 14th March 2020. Since then, 25 421 people have been tested positive of whom 23 710 have recovered, 1373 are active cases, one is critically ill while 338 have succumbed to the virus.

A total of 350, 352 people have been vaccinated since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.
