The statement released last night by the Ministry of Health also shows that 36 people have caught the virus out of 6811 sample tests.

The majority of new cases were found in Ngororero: 7, Kigali City: 6, Gakenke: 4 Karongi: 3, Kayonza: 3, Musanze: 3 and Nyagatare district: 2 while each of the districts of Gicumbi, Gisagara, Huye, Ngoma, Nyamasheke, Rubavu, Rusizi and Rwamagana recorded one new case.

The Ministry has revealed that the remaining districts registered zero new cases.
The decrease in new infections is largely attributed to ongoing COVID-19 preventive measures and ramped up mass vaccination efforts.

As of today, a total of 1,733,550 people have been fully vaccinated while 3,177,390 received the first dose of COVID-19 since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
