Rwanda registers 17 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that no one succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday. The statement released last night also shows that 17 people have caught the virus out of 11 904 sample tests while the death toll remains at 1313.

The positivity rate currently stands at 0.1%.

A total of 1,725,362 people have been fully vaccinated while 3,033,940 received the first dose of COVID-19 since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
