Rwanda registers 59 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that 59 people caught COVID-19 out of 10 887 sample tests while no one succumbed to the virus yesterday. The death toll remains at 1320.

A total of 1,811,757 people have been fully vaccinated while 3,670,094 received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 15th March 2021.

Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
