The aircraft which involved in the accident had to take off from Kigali International Airport at 7:00 a.m to land at Kamember Aiport at 7:40 a.m.
According to a statement released by RwandAir following the incident, all passengers are safe.
“RwandAir Flight WB601 to Kamembe this morning had a minor incident on landing. All passengers and crew are safe. We’ll experience some disruptions in our schedule today and apologize for any inconvenience,” reads the statement share posted on Twitter.
The cause of the accident has not been announced.
Similar incident happened on 20th April this year when RwandAir’s aircraft which took off from Kigali in the wee hours flying to Kampala in Uganda, was involved in a runway excursion in the process of landing at Entebbe Airport as a result of bad weather.
