The former Miss France 2000,Sonia Rolland was the first African-born (Rwandan) winner of the Miss France pageant and at the same time, contestant in the Miss Universe Pageant that took place in Cyprus, where she finished at the 9th place.

Miss Sonia Rolland Uwitonze has arrived in Kigali where she will be part of the jury of the 2018 Miss Rwanda pageant. She was this morning welcomed at Kigali International airport by the outgoing Miss Rwanda, Iradukunda Elsa.
