Her body was seen in the morning of Monday 23rd May 2022 in Karenge Village, Karenge Cell of Karenge Sector.

The Executive Secretary of Karenge Sector, Emmanuel Ntwari has told IGIHE that the body was first seen by residents.

“It is suspected that she was killed few days ago. The woman might have been killed on Friday but Rwanda Investigation Bureau [RIB] is conducting investigation to establish the truth. The woman had come to live here from Nyakariro where she left two children,” he said.

Ntwari appealed on residents to report missing neighbours to local leaders on time to mount a search. He also requested landlords to register identifications of their tenants for security reasons.

Last week, an old man was stabbed to death in the same sector. His son identified as the prime suspect has been arrested pending further legal process.
