Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC) and an unidentified group clashed with heavy weapons, Sunday, October 28 in North Kivu, 27 kilometers west of Goma.
Terrified residents said FARDC and the unidentified rebels exchanged heavy gunfire from 9:00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT).
A regional military commander confirmed the fighting, without identifying the adversaries.
No assessment has been on casualities on both sides.
