Can’t a young man make money anymore? This is a question that has been wagging in most people’s tongues, well mainly graduates. It’s a worry not only for the young but also for the parents of these individuals.

Most parents would not understand because during their time jobs were available to people in a heartbeat especially if they are holding that golden ticket we call a degree.

But in this day and age a degree is just not enough for us to be getting careers and not just the daily job. But who really is to blame? The companies that require five years experience? Or ourselves?

Many teenagers are stuck in the social epidemic where all they want o do is live a lavish life off their parents and brag about it on social media i.e Facebook and Instagram.

By the time most people are graduating they realize that they have wasted four years of their lives in being socially outstanding and not academically outstanding.

This panic leads to individuals turning into fast ways of making money either it being in selling drugs or getting into deals that they are not able to handle and further calling it a hustle.

What can be done to help our youth? Firstly everyone needs to understand that going to college isn’t all about attending class and getting a good grade. Its also about understanding your courses.

Many people cram on the last days just for the aim of ensuring they pass, but everyone needs to adapt the reading habit. Remember a good read a day keeps ignorance away.

Then individuals need to stop attending classes and going home, involvement in school activities is very essential, heading a club like AISEC can take you into new heights whereby you don’t only build your CV but u also network with essential people who will inspire you.

Aside from attending classes and joining clubs surround yourself with people who are doing better than you in life or make friends with ambitious individuals therefore you will be able to develop yourself and aspire to create jobs other than look for jobs.
